A Goal for Kindness

At a recent soccer practice at the Theodore Roosevelt turf field, a few players noticed one of their friends from school was there by himself, and not involved with the soccer program. The friend was kicking a ball against the paddleball wall, with no supervision.

Apparently, he goes to the park after school by himself, and keeps himself busy until someone picks him up.

When the coach questioned the players why that boy wasn’t on the team, no one had an answer. The coach walked over the boy, gave him a uniform and told him he was now on the team.

A nice story of generosity and community impact.
